    Coconut Chutney

    Coconut chutney is a south Indian delicacy and it is commonly prepared in southern parts of India. This simple chutney recipe is made of coconut, green chilly, curry leaves, roasted gram, ground it together, and add mustard seeds at the last as Tadka. This chutney is served with Idly, Dosa, Upma varieties.

    How to make coconut chutney

    Blend the chutney. In a Blender, Add grated coconut, roasted gram, curry leaves, green chilies, salt, and water, blend them together

    Prepare the Tadka. Add oil, mustard seeds to a separate pan. Then add it to the chutney, give it a stir

    Serve the chutney. Serve it with Hot Idly/Dosa/Upma

    Coconut Chutney

    Coconut chutney recipe is a Southern Indian chutney side-dish and condiment, a very common day to day dish in every house hold.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup Grated Coconut
    • 1 tbsp Roasted Gram
    • 5 leaves Curry Leaves
    • 1 Green chillies Based on your spice level
    • 1 tsp salt Based on your taste
    • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
    • 1 tbsp oil

    Instructions

    • In a Blender, Add grated coconut, roasted gram, curry leaves, green chillies, salt and water, blend it together
    • Transfer it to the bowl
    • In a separate pan, add oil, mustard seeds. Then add it to the chutney, give it a stir
    • Serve it with idly/dosa/upma

    Notes

    Do not use coconut oil while making coconut chutney since coconut might start releasing oil after Tadka.
